Field Day
An afternoon of athletic-type events for students in grades 4-8 in early May.
Liebeskind Publishing Center
Milestone student projects such as the 8th grade Chapel Talk and 5th grade "I Believe" speeches are published in take-home keepsake books.
Tickets for Teachers
Donate tickets that you are unable to use to gift to our worthy staff! Anything from sporting events to musicals to rock concerts will be greatly appreciated. Contact Emily Westbrook at teachertickets@hawken.edu
Teacher Appreciation
Provide food and other items to show our appreciation for Hawken faculty during conferences and at various times during the school year.
8th Grade Chaperones and Lyndhurst Closing Ceremonies
A celebration dinner for all 8th grade students and their caregivers is held leading up to the 8th grade Moving Up ceremony. Several 7th grade parents/guardians serve as ambassadors at the dinner and help the Middle School Administration at the Moving Up ceremony.
Senior Breakfast and Gates Mills Closing Ceremonies
A celebration breakfast for all 12th grade students and their parents/guardians is held at the Gates Mills campus on the Friday before Sunday's Commencement. Several 11th grade parents/guardians serve as ambassadors at the Breakfast and help the Upper School Administration at Commencement at Severance Music Center.
After Prom
A late-night evening of fun, games and a raffle at an off-site location following Prom. Junior parents/guardians help procure raffle items and volunteers.
New Family Hospitality
Welcome families to the Hawken community who join after the start of school.
COMMUNITY BUILDING COMMITTEE
First Day Coffee
Enjoy a cup of coffee and reconnect with your friends on the first day of school. Held at the Lyndhurst campus.
Winter Blast
A Carnival held at the Lyndhurst campus to celebrate the Lower School community.
Trivia Night
Test your skills against fellow Hawken parents/guardians at this fun trivia night run by Hawken faculty and staff.
Book Fair
Book Fair held on the Lyndhurst campus
Café
Serve snacks and beverages to Upper School students during afternoon breaks.
Hawken Flea
Donate gently used Hawken spirit wear, sports equipment and Moving Up clothing. Drop-off boxes will be available year round in the Division lobbies.
Hawks Nest Spirit Store
Keep Bright the Red and Gray by purchasing Hawken spirit wear and helping at various sales throughout the year.
Cleveland Museum of Art Gallery Highlight Series
Take private, one-hour tours of various collections each month. Five tours are offered during the school year, and registration is required at the beginning of the school year.
