5th Graders Celebrate Moving Up with Ceremony and Ice Cream Social

The Class of 2024 marked their transition from Lower to Middle School with a ceremony in the Headmaster’s Chapel followed by an ice cream social.

Following the procession and Pledge of Allegiance, 5th graders and their teachers shared memories of their time in the Lower School through words and pictures. Special awards were then presented to two students: Luke Mangini was awarded the Mildred Smith Award and Maeve Ialacci the LaVelle Pelton Esgar Award. The ceremony closed with the singing of the Hawken Alma Mater.
