Football Team Raises Funds for JADE Foundation

They set a goal of lifting, in aggregate, 24,000 lbs. They exceeded their goal, lifting over 44,000 lbs. Sponsors were challenged to donate to JADE in correlation to the team's results. Great work for JADE, team!

The JADE Foundation honors the memory of Alex Dobay, Hawken class of 2008, in serving young adult cancer patients at the Cleveland Clinic. Alex battled lymphoblastic lymphoma and leukemia for several years before succumbing to the illness in 2008 at the age of 19. Alex was a member of the Hawken football team.

The JADE Foundation "comfort cart" serves approximately 400 patients per year at the Cleveland Clinic. With your support, we hope to expand our reach to serve even more patients at the Clinic and other Cleveland area hospitals. The comfort cart provides games, puzzles, art supplies,
magazines, fleecy blankets and snacks to help alleviate the physical and emotional stress of lengthy hospitalizations and treatments.
