Middle School Insights Classes Inspire Students and Teachers
Hawken Middle School returned from winter break for Insights Week: 5 days of mixed-grade courses designed to inspire and inform.
The interdisciplinary intensive courses included a wide variety of innovative and engaging topics grown out of the academic passions of the Middle School faculty. Using the greater Cleveland area as a resource for projects and explorations, the classes developed skills of collaboration, synthesis of information and critical thinking through real world experiences and inquiries.
Courses such as Anatomy of a Hit Song, Stories of Cleveland, Stress Less, and The Science of Sport spanned the areas of Science and Technology, the Arts, Engage Cleveland, and Global Connections.
