Graduate's Blog Discusses Cleveland’s Urban Revitalization

What would it take for the Opportunity Corridor project to spark a revitalization of Cleveland’s urban core?

That was the question Cecile Murray '11 set out to answer while working as a research assistant at the Fund for Our Economic Future.

Cecile, a senior Economics Major at the University of Chicago, worked at the Fund for Our Economic Future last summer, delving into demographic data to determine the number and quality of jobs it would take to transform neighborhoods in Cleveland's urban core.

"I concluded that not only does this project have the potential to be transformational, but that transformation is achievable," notes Cecile in a two-part blog at thefundneo.org.

The Fund for Our Economic Future is "a philanthropic collaboration dedicated to advancing economic growth and equitable access to opportunity for the people of Northeast Ohio through research, civic engagement, and grantmaking."
