Graduate Gathers Chefs in Fight Against Autism
Shari Golberg '79 co-chaired the 2014 Autism Speaks Cleveland Chef Gala, which rallied celebrity chefs and 700 guests in the fights against Autism.
As reported in the Plain Dealer, the 700 guests were fed by 20 of Northeast Ohio's most popular chefs representing about 35 restaurants - plus culinary superstars Michael Symon and New York City restaurateur Mario Batali. The event generated about $250,000 in the effort to fight autism.
Douglas Katz '88 (Fire, The Katz Club Diner; Provenance), and Chris Hodgson '04 (Driftwood Restaurants and Catering) were amongst the participating chefs who showcased their talent.
