Rodriguez Named Coach of the Year
Hawken Head Varsity Wrestling Coach Bob Rodriguez was named Division III Coach of the Year by the Greater Cleveland Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association.
Rodriguez finished his 15th season as Head Coach with two Sectional Champions, seven District qualifiers, and for the first time, two State Placers - Louis DeMarco '15 (8th) and Alex Stotter '14 (7th).
Four of Rodriguez's wrestlers have reached the 100 career victory mark in the past two years. One of those, Seth King '14 was the first Hawken wrestler to eclipse the 150-win mark. Coach Rodriguez led a very competitive tournament team this year, effectively coaching experienced and decorated wrestlers, as well as student-athletes who were new to the sport this year.
