Hawken Mourns Passing of Elouise Bouie
It is with great sadness that we report the sudden death of Hawken bus driver Elouise R. Bouie. She was hospitalized unexpectedly on Thursday March 13, and passed on Tuesday March 18.
Ms. Bouie had been a bus driver at Hawken since 1997, and was beloved by her students and parents, always greeting families with cheer and driving her passengers with great care. She drove many routes over the years, and was recently driving the following routes:
- AM: Zelma George Rec Center
- AM: Lyndhurst to Gates Mills Shuttle
- PM: Bath/Richfield
In keeping with the tradition of her faith, Ms. Bouie will be remembered and her life celebrated in a Memorial Service on Monday, March 31 at 12pm, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 3840 Lee Rd., in Cleveland, 44128.
