Junior Places 2nd in NEO Shakespeare Competition
Congratulations to Matthew Thompson '15, who placed 2nd in the Northeast Ohio Shakespeare Competition.
Students from 29 area high schools took place in the competition held at PlayhouseSquare and sponsored by the Cleveland Branch of the English Speaking Union with the aid of Great Lakes Theater. Hawken has had a student place 1st and 2nd in the competition for the last two years.
The goal of the annual competition is to "increase the awareness of the works of William Shakespeare and the richness of the Bard's native tongue."
