School Spirit Shines for HawkFest
A weeklong show of school spirit culminates today with HawkFest and continues tomorrow with Fall Family Fair.
Today is Red OUT day at Hawken, as shown in this photo from the Upper School morning assembly. This afternoon students at both the Lyndhurst and Gates Mills campuses will enjoy pep rallies followed by the HawkFest celebration at 4:30 pm.
Due to wet weather forecasted, the Hawken Family Tailgate for students, parents, alumni has been moved indoors to the GM Sports Complex. In addition to the wonderful picnic dinner including the Hawken Jazz Band, fun pre-game activities will be offered.
After dinner the Hawken Hawks take on Cuyahoga Heights at 7pm in a CVAC matchup. During halftime our Hawken youth football program will take to the field to demonstrate their skills.
Saturday, October 5, the fun continues at Lyndhurst with the Fall Family Fair from 10 am – 1 pm. Also on Saturday, the girls soccer team takes on Perry at 11 am and the girls field hockey team plays Magnificat at 12 pm. Both games will be at the Gates Mills campus.
