If you're shopping at Urban Outfitters in Hollywood or NYC this month, look for a popup store called African Lookbook.
Founded by Aaron Kohn '09, Lookbook is an online shop of African products and discussion space for oral histories. As stated on their website africanlookbook.com "Our interviews are primary sources: raw, academic in nature, and uneditorialized. For our shop, we work with people around the world to help us find cutting edge African products."
The popup store at the Hollywood, CA Urban Outfitters will be open through May 27. The popup at the Urban Outfitters on 5th Avenue in New York City will be open May 9-31.
Aaron is finishing his degree in African Studies from Columbia and in June moves to Johannesburg where African Lookbook will open its first retail store and Aaron will be the director of the Museum of African Design.
