Freshman's Team Wins National Ice Hockey Title
Casper Yonel plays for the '98 Ohio Selects ice hockey team, which came in first out of 730 US teams at the Tier II 14-and-Under AAA 2013 USA Hockey National Championships.
Casper Yonel, a Hawken freshman and forward for the '98 Ohio Selects ice hockey team, has a lot to be proud of. He and his teammates came in first out of 730 US teams last week at the Tier II 14-and-Under AAA 2013 USA Hockey National Championships in Indian Trail, NC.
Casper had one goal and one assist for the team which won 3-2 in overtime. Joe Nook, the team's coach, said “I’ve never seen a group of boys come together the way they have. They made a lot of sacrifices and take care of each other.”
