Wrestlers Qualify for Districts
The Hawken Wrestling Team placed 7th out of 12 teams at the Sectional tournament held this past weekend in Beachwood. Despite only filling 8 of the 14 weight classes, the overall team effort was impressive. Two Hawks won Sectional Championships: Louis DeMarco '15 at 106 pounds, and Seth King '14 at 152 pounds. This is the second Sectional championship for Louis. Taking third place were 170 pounder Jeff Christian '15 and 182 pounder Alex Stotter '14. All four of these wrestlers advance to the District Tournament this weekend to be held at Garfield Heights High School. Other placers for the Hawks include 132 pounder Corey Cox '15 and 120 pounder Matty Baratz '16, both taking 6th.
