Auction Raises Funds for Faculty Professional Development
The Hawken community gathered for a night of fun fundraising on Saturday, March 10. Under a canopy of college banners heralding the theme of March Madness, guests dressed in spirit wear engaged in friendly competition as they bid on silent and live auction items donated for the occasion.
The biennial auction raised more than $100,000 for faculty professional development and over $115,000 for Hawken's performing arts and athletics programs during a Fund-A-Need segment. In addition, Hawken will be donating a portion of the auction proceeds to the Chardon Healing Fund.
Many thanks and a deep appreciation on behalf of Hawken and its faculty go to the event chairs Mauri Artz, Janice Hawwa, and Terri Kennedy, who worked tirelessly volunteering their time in the months, weeks, and days preceding the auction.
