Student Musicians Selected for Honors Orchestra
Benjamin Francisco '13, cello, and Gabe Napoli '13, violin, have been selected to perform with the Honors Orchestra for the 2012 American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in February. Participation in the Honors Orchestra is limited to the highest rated high school performers from across North America and select international schools. Benjamin and Gabe will join other performers from the U.S. and Canada for a special performance at Carnegie Hall. The Feb. 22 performance is open to the public and specially-invited representatives from collegiate music programs.
The Honors Performance Series was created to showcase accomplished individual high school performers by allowing them to study under master conductors and perform in the celebrated venue, Carnegie Hall. Students from 48 states, Canada, Germany, Korea and Taiwan have participated in the series. More on the program is available at
