Girls Golf Advance to State; Girls Soccer Wins CVC
Hawken Girls Golf place third at the District Golf Tournament, advancing to the State Tournament in Columbus October 14 & 15. The team, coached by Debby Horowitz, is comprised of Allie Schwertner '12, Meredith Cohen '14, Ali Gole '14, Beatrice Cahill-Camden '14, and Haley Newman '15. At districts the girls notched a score of 368, just behind Warren JFK and Poland Seminary. GO HAWKS – Good luck at States!
Girls soccer defeated Aurora HS on Wednesday 5-2 to move to 12-0 on the season. The win secured the Chagrin Valley Conference Championship for Hawken for the first time since moving to the Chagrin Division. In the latest OSSCA D-III Coaches’ Poll, Hawken was ranked #2 in the state. Playoffs for boys (#11 D-III Ohio) and girls begin the week of October 17. Watch for the schedule, and come out and support the Hawks!
