Students in Homelessness Class Present at Psychiatry Conference

On Friday March 25, seniors Matt Burns, Saeed Jackson and Josh Bass (in absentia) presented the results of their research project about homeless veterans at a local conference, The All Ohio Institute on Community Psychiatry, sponsored by the Medical School at CWRU.   Their presentation, “Perceptions of Homelessness Among Veterans,” was done under the auspices of the Mandel School at CWRU, the VA Medical Center, and Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries, and it was the capstone of a series of interviews that the boys conducted last December with homeless veterans.   The interviews were done at the men’s shelter, 2100 Lakeside, as part the boys’ field-work for the Homelessness class.  Click here to see their visual essay.
