Latham Boyle ’96 Addresses Upper School Students

On March 14, 1996 graduate Latham Boyle returned to Hawken to speak at an upper school assembly and to visit science classes. During his presentation, Boyle talked about his work on gravitational wave telescopes and encouraged students to consider interesting questions that have not yet been answered: What will replace oil? How did life originate? How can humans migrate into space?

After attending Hawken where, he noted, he was exceptionally well prepared for college, Boyle earned a degree in physics from Harvard and a PhD from Princeton. He currently works for the Canadian Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario. Read more about Latham here:
