Junior Wins Grand Prize at Art Show
Congratulations to junior Katelyn Ursu, who took the grand prize at the Beachwood 16th Annual Juried High School Student Art Show held on Sunday, February 6. Katelyn's work and that of three other Hawken students - Abigail Moeller '11, Lauren Kennedy '12 and Travis Reilly '11 - is on display at the Beachwood Community Center.
Jurors for this competition included Grafton Nunes, president of the Cleveland Institue of Art, Jill Snyder, executive director of the Museum of Contemporary Art and Dick Kleinman, owner of Dick Kleinman Fine Art Gallery. In addition to a cash prize, Katelyn's winning piece will be on exhibit at the Kleinman Gallery in Eton Square in March.
