Latin Students Place 3rd in City-wide Competition
On Sunday, January 30th eighth Grade Latin students Mara Cohen, Aman Nair, Adam Stilson, Daniel Weiss, and Jack Weisman participated in a Cleveland city-wide, multi-school Latin “certamen,” a competition which tests students' knowledge of Latin, Roman history, mythology, and other related topics. Hawken students were divided into two teams - and in spite of fierce competition,Mara and Adam made it to the final round and Aman, Daniel, and Jack missed making it to the final round by only a few points. Their valiant effort led to a third place finish in the contest. Bravo to team Hawken Latin students!
