Assistant Head of School for External Affairs Devin Schlickmann has accepted the position of Vice President for Institutional Advancement at St. Edward High School in Lakewood. He will assume his new position on May 2, 2011.
Since his arrival at Hawken in 2008, Devin has reorganized and elevated Hawken's development, communications, and admission functions. He has helped strengthen Hawken's enrollment position; established and implemented the James A. Hawken Merit Scholarship Program; played a lead role in the success of Hawken giving campaigns; increased participation rates in the Annual Fund; assisted the most successful auction in our school’s history; and has been the driving force behind Hawken's new HawkFest tradition, the launch of Hawken's new school-wide graphic identity and website, the Gries Center opening events, and the creation and execution of a Board Visiting Committee.
Devin’s early notification of his departure has provided ample time to launch a national search for his replacement. To that end, Hawken has contracted with Doug Cooney of Deerfield Associates, a firm specializing in searches for development positions.
All at Hawken thank Devin for his exceptional professionalism, contributions, and collegiality and wish him the best in his new position at St. Edward High School.
