Parents Association Hosts Dan Moulthrop

Dan Moulthrop, former host of WCPN's Sound of Ideas, joined the Parents Association in the Arts & Communications Lobby of the Gates Mills Campus last Tuesday to speak about his work and his current leadership role in the Civic Commons, a nascent project of the Fund for Our Economic Future in Cleveland. The Civic Commons was created with a $3 million Knight Foundation grant and “seeks to educate, engage and empower citizens to be involved and active in strengthening the community using civic journalism, public engagement, and social media."

Dan also provided an overview of the Hawken upper school intensive course called The Correspondent in journalism that he will be co-teaching later this fall.
