Two Hawk Alums Make Top 50 Athletes of the Decade
Alyssa Kiel `05 and Sarah Dorenkott `06 were recently named among the top 50 Ohio High School Athletes of the Decade by JJ Huddle, an Ohio online high school sports magazine, with Alyssa ranked 8th and Sarah 25th. Alyssa Kiel `05 was also recently selected as Athlete of the Decade in girls swimming by the News-Herald for her stellar record. Three of the five honorable mentions in girls swimming are also Hawken alums: Sarah Dorenkott `06, Fiona O`Donnell-McCarthy `05, and Brittany Strumbel, `08. Brian Demell `01 also received an honorable mention from the News-Herald for boys swimmer of the decade.
