Hawks Earn High Marks in Latin
Spencer Hobson `10 recently received a Letter of Commendation for his outstanding entry in the 2009-2010 CAMWS (Classical Association of the Middle West and South) Latin Translation Contest. In other Classics news,43 of the 53 Hawken students who sat for the National Latin Exam earned an award for their stellar performance on that exam. The following students were among the top winners in their respective levels in the nation: Perfect score: Jacob Dennis `13; Gold Medal: Russell Cohn `13, Julius Davis `10, Justin Faulhaber `13, Aden Wexberg `12, Mitchell Krall `12, Anirudh Dasarathy `12, Emily Anagnostos `11, Rachelle Brenner `11; Silver Medal: Brian Drockton `13, Marissa Cominelli `13, Benjamin Francisco `13, Sarah Doody `13, Victoria Jones `13, and Jacob Broida `13.
