Hawken Writing Center Sponsors Visit From Author Thrity Umrigar

Upper School students were treated to an assembly this morning featuring writer Thrity Umrigar, who spoke about her writing, read from her newly published book The Weight of Heaven, and answered students` questions about her work as a novelist. Ms. Umrigar also met with Steve Weiskopf`s AP students, who had read one of her novels for summer reading and also ran a fiction writing workshop with a group of interested students.
