Hawken Upper School Observes World AIDS Day
Valentina Muraleedharan and Sally Madiba, exchange students from the Maru-a-Pula school in Botswana, helped the Hawken community commemorate World Aids Day by asking the community to wear red to show solidarity and to raise the awareness of the devastating effects of this virus on individuals, communities and countries. All other schools in the United States hosting Maru-a-Pula students participated as well. As you can see from the photograph,the Hawken community was enthusiastic about their support for Valentina, Sally, Botswana and the world community in their efforts to eradicate this terrible disease.
