Boys Lacrosse Reaches Final 4; Ranks 3rd Among Ohio D II Schools

The boys lacrosse team finished their impressive season at 16-4,ranking third among Division II schools in Ohio Division II (see laxpower.com). After defeating Walsh Jesuit in the Division II/Region 2 championship 12-7 to make the state final four, they lost to eventual state champion University School 15-6 in the state semi-final played in Hunting Valley. Over the course of the 19-game season the team scored a program-record 271 goals (14.2 goals per game) and held opponents to 141 goals (7.4 goals per game). The following players received regional honors: David Falk - 1st team (attack) Mike Hruby - 1st team (attack) Pat Horsburgh - 2nd team (attack) Taylor Stone - 1st team (midfield) Matt Miller - 1st team (midfield) Teddy Hook - 1st team (defense) Jacob Minnaugh - honorable mention (defense) Cooper Keller - honorable mention (goalie) Mitch Joseph - honorable mention (face-off specialist) The following players received all-Ohio (Division 2) honors: David Falk - 1st team Teddy Hook - 1st team Taylor Stone - 3rd team Mike Hruby - 3rd team Matt Miller - honorable mention David Falk finished his Hawken career as the all-time leader in points with 224, goals with 146, and assists with 78. Pat Horsburgh set a single-season record for goals with 62. David Falk also set a single-season record for assists with 38.
