Hawken Charity Lacrosse Showcase a Success
The Fisher House Charity Lacrosse Showcase, sponsored by Burning River Lacrosse Club and hosted by Hawken School this past Saturday, was an absolute success, raising over $42,000.00. Fisher House helps wounded or ill service men and women by enabling their families to be nearby during hospitalization by providing housing and other services. Fourteen high school and middle school teams participated in the event. Perfect weather and close games provided welcome bonuses to the fundraiser. Special thanks to Jim Doyle for the many hours he put in to ensure a flawless execution of the event and congratulations to coaches Jim Scully and Steve Hopkins on their wins!
