GIRLS SWIM TEAM WINS 19th STATE TITLE!
Hawken`s varsity girls swim team won its 19th first place title at the state championships in Canton. It was the team`s 11th consecutive win and with talented sophomores, freshmen and an undefeated season by the girls middle school team, the winning streak looks poised to continue. Hawken`s girls finished the meet with 334 points, 121 points ahead of second place New Albany. Hathaway Brown finished fifth with 125 points; Chagrin Falls finished eighth with 72 points. Brittany Rospierski `09 placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke; Alana Arnold `11 placed first in the 100 butterfly; and the team placed first in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
