Sixth Grade Knowledge Master Team Makes Impressive Debut
The brand new sixth grade Knowledge Master team competed for the first time on January 21st against 322 teams from around the world. They scored 697 points in a field where the average was 622; the average for schools our size was 590, putting this fledgling team far ahead of the pack. The team came in third in the state of Ohio and 66th in the world. One measure of their outstanding ability to compete is their 14th place ranking worldwide among all the participating schools with enrollments of 201-500 students. The Hawken team had a wonderful time and are ready to take on their next challenge in March. Congratulations to all of these sixth graders: Sydney Calabro, Mara Cohen, Owen Driscoll, Alison Jin, Kush Khosla, Ben Licata, Katelyn Long, Tessa Murthy, Sam Rao, Jack Weisman, and Daniel Weiss.
