Sophomore on WKYC`s Good Company

Sophomore Josh Berns appeared recently on WKYC`s Good Company to promote The Race, an event, he co-founded with with his sister and Hawken eighth grader Dani, to fight breast cancer. On Mother`s Day, Sunday May 11 at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, Race participants and supporters will gather for the fifth annual one-mile run/walk to raise money for cancer research at The Cleveland Clinic`s Taussig Cancer Center. It`s a day filled with face paintings, clowns, food, prizes and fun, but most importantly, said Patti Berns, mother of Josh and Dani, it`s an opportunity for kids to see that they have the ability to make a difference. Registration begins at 8:00, the run/walk at 9:00. Visit www.dotherace.com to register online and help event organizers reach its goal of having at least 1,000 people join them.
