Fall HPS Production Promises Fun

jb
It`s 1940, and the creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop -- in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious \"Stage Door Slasher\" -- are assembling for a backer`s audition of their new show at the estate of a wealthy sponsor. The estate is filled with sliding bookcases, secret passages revolving fireplaces and a German maid who seems to be four different people. All of these characters figure into the comic mayhem that ensues when the infamous \"Slasher\" strikes again. As the cast assembles, a blizzard cuts off their retreat, bodies drop in plain sight, knives spring out of nowhere, and masked figures are everywhere. Don`t worry. The murders are so incidental that you`ll barely notice because you will be treated to a sidesplitting good time and a generous serving of the author`s (John Bishop) biting, satiric and refreshingly irreverent wit. Join the crazy 11-person cast as they romp through the HPS production of \"The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940\" on November 2nd and 3rd at 7:30pm, and November 4th at 3:00pm in the Kennedy Auditorium. Tickets are $5 and $12. More information is available by calling 440 423-2119.
