Helen Hochstetler

Hawken has lost a beloved community member with the passing of Helen Hochstetler on Thursday, January 15 at the age of 94. Helen served Hawken from 1959-1993 as the school`s head dietitian and head of dining services. Countless graduates, faculty and staff will remember Mrs. H fondly and her family stated that Hawken was her second family. The family would appreciate contributions in memory of Helen Hochstetler to Hawken School, P.O. Box 8002, Gates Mills, OH 44040, or to St. Gregory the Great Church, 1545 S. Green Rd., South Euclid, OH 44121. Funeral Mass will be Monday January 19 at St. Gregory the Great Church at 9:30 a.m.; interment, All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schulte & Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Rd., Lyndhurst (between Richmond and Brainard Roads) Sunday, 2-6 p.m.
