Not just a football game

Think the grand opening of Walton Stadium is just a celebration for Hawken`s Upper Campus? Think again. It is a school-wide event for kids of all ages. On Friday, August 31, beginning at 4:30 p.m., there will be two inflatable games provided by the Cleveland Browns, face painting, clowns, giveaways, stilt walkers and food. During the game, Upper, Middle and Lower School students alike can scream together as the football team trounces Lutheran West in the newly created student section of the stadium called The Nest. And after the game, families should stick around for ice cream, a bonfire, and a live concert. So mark your calendars for a power-packed, adrenaline-rushing experience that you soon won`t forget--one that will definitely go down as one of Hawken`s shining moments.
