Hawken hosts Honor Band
Eight Hawken students joined 83 of the best band students from 15 area schools to form the Chagrin Valley Conference Honor Band on Wednesday, January 10. Students from Aurora, Beachwood, Berkshire, Cardinal, Cuyahoga Heights, Fairport Harding, Grand Valley, Independence, Kenston, Newbury, Perry, Richmond Heights, West Geauga, and Wickliffe spent an entire day at Hawken`s Upper School preparing for an evening peformance that same day. Dr. Jeff Keller, a faculty member at the Capital University Conservatory of Music, was the guest conductor for the event.
