The Cleveland Clinic has invited Hawken students to participate in two paid summer internships. The Science Internship and Nurses of the Future Programs are nine-week experiences, where students will have the opportunity to work with renowned Clinic professionals for 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. By participating in either program, students will gain a deeper understanding of science research and develop keen analytical research skills. Those participating in the nursing program will additionally get an up close look at the health care profession. Top students, who will be juniors or seniors in the 2007-2008 school year, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a strong interest in science, an overall G.P.A of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, no more than five absences or tardies in the previous semester documented on a transcript and attitude scores of fours and fives documented on a transcript or by a guidance counselor letter. Visit www.clevelandclinic.org/CivicEducation to apply and learn more. The application deadline is February 16, 2007.
