Junior Bryn Adams is off to perform at The Cleveland Play House and then could be on her way to the Lincoln Center in New York City. The actress took first place in Hawken`s Shakespeare monologue competition, which was hosted in conjunction with the English Speaking Union`s (ESU) National Shakespeare Competition. As part of winning, she advanced to the next round at the Play House. In a few weeks, Adams will be up against students from throughout the Northeast Ohio area in the ESU Cleveland branch`s competition, performing both a monologue and a sonnet from one of Shakespeare`s 154 sonnet cycles. The winner of the Branch competition will advance to Nationals at the Lincoln Center to vie for a chance to participate in a summer acting course at the British American Drama Academy in Great Britain. First runner-up of the Hawken competition was senior Harrison Adams. Second runner-up was sophomore Hannah Stofan. Other performers were sophomores Jacob Sachs, Dylan Herts and Sam Milner, juniors Sam Skove and Annie Krol and seniors Alison Kopit, Rick Durance and Lordon Tisdale.
