8th Graders Perform African Protest Poetry In Chapel

waskowitz
8th grade students took to the stage/floor of the Chapel today as they performed their African Protest Poems for 6th grade students. In groups of 4-5 students, the poems were powerfully presented, aided with sound effects that brought to life the themes of apartheid and racism that the 8th grade has recently been studying. Humanities teachers Mr. Hart, Ms. Libbey, and Mrs. Halliday are to be commended for their efforts in working with students on such an impressive performance.
