Eighth grade students focus on Darfur

waskowitz
Having recently studied the current crisis in Sudan`s western region of Darfur, several eighth grade students felt compelled \"to make a difference\" in an attempt to help those of Darfur who have been victims of this 21st century genocide that is currently being waged by the government-backed Arab militia known as the Janjaweed. Working with the Save Darfur organization (click here for more information), these eighth grade students will be selling Save Darfur-Not On My Watch bracelets ($2.00 each) and will be holding a bake sale, the proceeds from which will directly go to the Save Darfur organization. Bracelets and baked goods will be on sale starting next week in the lobby of Lincoln Hall from 7:45-8:15 AM. Need to find out more information? Feel free to call the Middle School office.
