Tyler Kirsch & Vicki Wilson Named Players of the Week

Senior Tyler Kirsch was named Track & Field Player of the Week by the Plain Dealer and News Herald for his performance at the Beachwood Invitational. Tyler finished first in the Triple Jump with a meet record jump of 40`3\", and second in the High Jump earning himself the Meet MVP Award for Field Events. Tylers accomplishments continued on the Track where he finished 3rd in the 110 meter High Hurdles and 2nd in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles. Sophomore Vicki Wilson was also named Player of the Week by the Plain Dealer and News Herald for her performance in the Beachwood Invitational. Vicki finished first in the 100 meter High Hurdles and the 300 meter Low Hurdles, setting a Meet Record in both and earning herself the Meet MVP Award for Track Events. Vicki continued to score for the team by helping the 4x200 Meter Relay team to a 5th place finish and the 4x400 Meter Relay team to a 3rd place finish. As a team the Hawken Boys finished first in the field of 12 teams. The team captured the victory with a team effort. Stephen Johnson won the Shot Put, Hayden Haas finshed 2nd in the 400m, Davis Filippell was 2nd in the 1600m & 4th in the 800m. The 4x100m relay finished 3rd, 4x200m Relay finished 4th, 4x400m Relay finished 2nd and the 4x800m relay finished 7th. The Girls Team finished 4th in a field of 15 teams. In addition to Vicki and the Sprint Relays, strong efforts were put forth by Kene Anoliefo - 3rd High Jump, Jessica Langholt - 3rd inthe 400m, Peggy Seabright - 4th in the 1600m, 4x800m relay - 4th Place,
