Hawken senior scores perfect 36 on ACT

jb
Perfection. That`s what Hawken senior Ryan Pearl can claim. He was one of only six in the state of Ohio to receive a perfect score on the college entrance exam, the ACT. Over 31,000 students in the state took the test in April. Colleges use the ACT scores typically for admission decisions, course placement, academic advising and scholarships and loans. Ryan`s score qualifies him to attend the most selective colleges and universities in the nation. \"Your ACT score...indicates that you should have the widest possible range of future educational options for which to choose,\" said ACT CEO Richard Ferguson in a letter to Ryan. Over 446,000 students throughout the country took the ACT on Ryan`s particular test date in April. Only 85 of those scored a perfect 36. Formerly known as American College Testing, ACT is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides more than a hundred assessment, research, information, and program management services in the broad areas of education and workforce development.
