Grant Roth `85 G-Money Basketball Tournament
On Saturday, November 25, the 1st Annual Grant Roth `85 G-Money Basketball Tournament was held in the Gates Mills Athletic Complex. Fourteen teams made of Hawken Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and friends of Grant Roth `85 participated in 4 on 4 team play in a double elimination tournament. A large crowd of spectators including family members of all ages, parents Mr. & Mrs. Robert Roth, and sister Margo Roth were in attendance. Tournament winners were the team of Scott Jared, Tim Boland, Tuck Cain, and John Gannon. Runners up were the team of Ben Vodila `99, Adam Ours `99, Marco McCottry `99, and Ahmed Roberts `98. All proceeds for the tournament went to endow the newly established Grant Roth Community Service Award. The tournament was organized by friends Meredith `85 and Michael `85 Weil, and David Gunning `85.
