8th Grade To Host Middle East Public Forum

waskowitz
Once again, 8th grade students have taken the initiative to host a Public Forum about some of the current issues involving the Middle East. Each eighth grader is presently interviewing a person with some connection to the Middle East and developing that interview into a feature story, which they are all working on in both their English and World Cultures classes. Forum members, selected by the student interviewers, will be discussing topics such as the war in Iraq, women`s rights, and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. For a lively discussion about current issues as they pertain to the Middle East, please join the 8th grade student body and faculty on Tuesday, May 23 at 7 p.m. in the Hochstetler Dining Room. While students are required to attend, parent and interviewee participation is optional. This experience promises to be informative and thought provoking. We look forward to seeing you there!
