TEAMS National Results Roll In

At this year`s Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Math, and Science (TEAMS) competition, Hawken`s varsity team placed 1st, with a score of 60 out of 80 possible points. The competition was held at the Univerity of Akron on Tuesday, February 21 and included some 30 varsity teams. The team has been awaiting word whether their winning regional score was good enough to advance for national scoring. Hawken came in 4th in the nation in our division, one of the best finishes ever. Top three finishes include 3rd in 2002 and 2001, 1st in 1997 and 3rd in 1996. Members of the first place team were Peter Hedman `06, Scott Yasinow `06, Adam Yasinow `06, Joe Liang `06, Steve Huang `06, Kenan Diab `07, Matt Dahlhausen `07, and Aaron Hung `09. Two other Hawken students, participating as an incomplete team, were Ryan Pearl `08 and Myron Zhang `08. Learn more about the TEAMS program here.
