Middle School Teacher Published in Latin Newsletter

pac (enews)
An article written by language teacher Elizabeth Crowe was included in a recent issue of The American Classical League Newsletter. Her piece, The Birth of a Latin Teacher, tells of the invaluable mentoring she received as she struggled to master basic Latin in one summer to meet the rising demand for Hawken`s Middle School Latin program. \"I have worked hard to learn Latin and teach it well, but I could not have done it without the support of such a qualified teacher and mentor as William Prueter,\" said Crowe in her article. \"He has also imparted to me his love of Latin and wealth of knowledge. I have been fortunate to have had such a positive experience.\" The American Classical League, founded in 1919, is devoted to promoting the study of classical languages in America and Canada. As well as being a resource for teachers the ACL also coordinates both the National Junior and Senior Classical leagues, and administers the National Latin Exam. The periodical features articles written by members from across the country.
