Alum Plays Key Role in Ingenuity Festival

This summer, the New Center for Art and Technology, under the leadership of William Scheele `66, will participate in Cleveland`s Second Annual Ingenuity Festival of Art and Technology. Held July 13 - 17, the festival is a celebration of the intersection of art and technology, and includes a variety of performances and exhibits all with a technological twist. NEWCAT is a non-profit organization the mission of which is \"To inspire, educate, and engage the community in the digital arts through collaborative projects, educational programs and exhibitions.\" Since its inception in 2001, the organization has been praised in prominent local publications such as EFX Art and Design, The Plain Dealer, and Crain`s Cleveland. NEWCAT will be featuring the works of Laurence Gartel, an acclaimed digital media artist who`s work can be previewed at the Gartel Museum.
