Middle School Lacrosse Players Excel

Maddie Bell `09 and Taylor Stone `09 have been recognized for their lacrosse skills on a regional and national level. Maddie and Erin Bruek `09 were the Hawken players nominated by coach Erin Thomas to compete in an all-star game in Cincinnati on June 11. After playing in the North/South Middle School All Star game, Maddie, a center, was named to the Ohio Girls` Lacrosse Team that will compete nationally this summer. Taylor was selected to play on an all-star team of eighth grade boys from the region that played at the National U-15 Lacrosse Festival in Amherst, Mass. held, June 24-26. All-star teams from across the nation came together to "Honor the Game" of lacrosse. He has played attack for the past two years, scoring 39 goals and compiling 14 assists during his time on the team.
