EC Teachers Present at State Conference
Jackie Woodie, Emily Gielink, and Kathy Fehrenbach presented a workshop entitled “More Than Just a Story” at the 2010 Ohio Early Care and Education Conference last Friday – one so popular that a second session was scheduled to accommodate all interested educators from across the state.
The three-part interactive workshop provided attendees with literacy activities that they could take back to their classrooms. Criteria for selecting books for classroom use, the integration of poetry, and writing activities were topics addressed in the workshop. Feedback from the teachers who attended the workshop was extremely positive, with many reporting that they were eager to put the ideas shared into action in their own classrooms.
