Lower School Celebrates Cinco De Mayo
The Spanish K-2 classes recently celebrated Cinco De Mayo in a fiesta of art projects, songs and poetry.
Cinco De Mayo celebrates the 1862 victory of an outnumbered Mexican army of fighters over the vast army of Napoleon III of France on, of course, May 5.
In honor of the day, Hawken students danced the Mexican hat dance "La Raspa," sung "Canta pajarito," recited "El pez platino" and more.
