SCHOOL BUS DRIVER - PART TIME
Hawken School is seeking reliable, enthusiastic bus drivers for part-time and substitute roles. Flexibility is required to substitute on regular routes (6-8am and 3-7pm); average hours are 15-20 hours per week. Position requires safe transport of students in Kindergarten through grade 12. Our collaborative transportation team earns additional hours during peak seasons by driving for extra-curricular events and athletics during evenings and weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive in a safe and conscientious manner

Responsible to be attentive, courteous and friendly with students ranging from age 5 - 18

Professional interactions with students’ parents or guardians and school faculty and staff

Maintain a clean vehicle and be attentive to mechanical issues that require attention

Perform other non-teaching duties as assigned by the Director or Head of School
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have a CDL with school bus, passenger, and airbrake endorsements. Successful completion of driving and criminal history background screenings is required. Positive, upbeat demeanor and flexibility are essential.
